Two New Scholarships Awarded to Freshmen

Hope Hinton and Max Mikes are the newest recipients of Bama Houston alumni chapter scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year. Hinton is receiving the Houston, Texas Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship, while Mikes is receiving the Roberts Engineering Endowed Scholarship.
Hinton, a graduate of The Woodlands High School, and Mikes, a graduate of Memorial High School, excelled in academics, served in leadership positions, volunteered in the community, and each worked two part-time jobs.
Hinton, who obtained 22 hours of college credit during high school, plans to major in business. Mikes, an Eagle Scout will pursue the STEM pathway to MBA program.
Over the past three years, Bama Houston has awarded more than $63,000 to Houston-area students to attend UA. For the 2022-2023 academic year, Bama Houston will award $13,500 to five local students and $9,000 to five other Texas students. To see all scholarship recipients, link here.
